At approximately 1.58 oz, this friction folder will disappear inside your pockets or bag and offers a touch of the old world for today’s modern EDC. This particular Higo no Kami is crafted by hand in Japan by one of the last remaining trademarked makers, Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho. The steel on this particular knife is called Warikomi steel, measuring approximately 3“ with the brass satin handle approximately 4”. Like the katanas of old, the Higo no Kami has both hard and soft steel melded into a single blade, a combination that allows the edge to be very sharp while not being so brittle that it will chip as a result of everyday use. The key to the cutting power of the Higo no Kami is the forging process Japanese artisans use to make the blades. Bladesmiths used to making quality katana knives found themselves struggling to make ends meet, so they began to pursue the civilian market with a practical folding knife that borrowed some of what made their swords great. “ Higo no Kami” actually means “Lord of Higo,” the area where this knife originated. This Japanese knife finds its origins with the end of the samurai era.

But the bottom line is that any type of fetal Doppler monitor is meant to be used only by trained professionals. The version used by doctors also provides imaging, whereas the handheld devices offer only sound. A fetal Doppler device uses ultrasound waves to detect the fetus’ heartbeat. The main difference between the two? The Doppler ultrasound used in the doctor’s office tends to use higher-frequency sound waves, making it more accurate and reliable. A baby’s heart rate will slow even more during the final 10 weeks of pregnancy. The normal fetal heart rate at mid-pregnancy should be between 110 and 160 beats per minute. The high sensitivity of the 3.0 Mhz Waterproof probe makes hear the fetal heartbeat of 1240 weeks babies. The latter is used by a trained professional at your doctor’s office starting around eight weeks into your pregnancy to confirm your due date and check baby’s heartbeat (which begins to beat around the end of week 6!). If your baby is being monitored by EFM and it shows a problem with the babys heartbeat, you may be offered a test called fetal blood sampling. But it’s hard to tell if you’re using an at-home fetal Doppler. “They’re marketed as a way to listen to baby’s heartbeat from a really early stage, in order to reassure moms,” says Elizabeth Hutton, CEO of Kicks Count, a U.K.-based nonprofit that aims to educate parents-to-be about tracking baby’s movement. This is best suited for a PVP player looking to maximize their flinch to ensure better aiming with things like Sniper Rifles. Increased flinch resistance while Woven Mail is active. Intrinsic Perk: Acrobat's Focus - Gain Woven Mail when activating grapple. Choose the other campaign reward, Renewal Grasps. The "massively increased damage" is massively overstated, at least at the launch of The Witch Queen. Good or Bad: Not as good as you might think they are. Intrinsic Perk: Voltaic Mirror - Attacks you redirect with your Arc Staff deal massively increased damage and generate Orbs of Power for your allies. The Shfit is a lateral Blink, with the added benefit of invisibility. Coupled with Arc weapons, like Anarchy, Mask of Bakris is able to bump up a Hunter's damage output. After Shifting, your Arc weapons deal increased damage to combatants for a short time, and you deal increased damage to all slowed or frozen combatants. Intrinsic Perk: Light Shift - Replaces your Stasis subclass dodge ability with a longer range, faster moving Shift that partially cloaks you during use. A finisher at the right moment will ensure you can scamper away undetected while healing. Good or Bad: This particular Exotic is great for Hunters that need to get out in a pinch. Finishers and final blows against more powerful targets increase the duration of the invisibility and the amount of health and shields restored. Intrinsic Perk: Vanishing Execution - Powered melee final blows grant invisibility and restore a portion of health and shields. There are certainly better Exotics, but this might still be considered worthwhile. In Crucible, it can ensure you get away from a fight. Good or Bad: The instant health and shield is a major asset in a lot of circumstances. Intrinsic Perk: Burning Souls - Dodging gives a small health and shield bump. With Graviton Forfeit, you can remain invisible forever. We've got an excellent infinite invisibility Hunter build that relies on this helmet. Good or Bad: This helmet might just be overpowered. While you are invisible, your melee recharges faster, your weapons reload faster, and your Recovery is greatly increased. Intrinsic Perk: Vanishing Shadow - Increases the duration of any invisibility effects. Target those low-health enemies for a small bump in damage. Good or Bad: Foetracer is great for those playing Competitive Crucible, where dealing slightly more damage can mean the difference between walking away from a fight or waiting for a revive. Deals more damage to low-health marked enemies. Intrinsic Perk: Relentless Tracker - Visually marks targeted enemies. Even during boss phases in playlist strikes and even during some lower-level Nightfalls, Celestial Nighthawk and Way of the Sharpshooter can one-shot kill several bosses. You will annihilate most yellow-bar enemies in Lost Sectors. Good or Bad: The Celestial Nighthawk stands tall above many other Hunter Exotics. Enemies eliminated by the shot explode and grant you Super energy. Intrinsic Perk: Hawkeye Hack - Modifies Golden Gun to fire a single high-damage shot. Leave it in your vault regardless of whether you're in PvP or PvE. The Upgraded Sensor Pack intrinsic perk is useful, but just not useful enough to choose the Knucklehead Radar over something else. Good or Bad: It's not that it's bad, just that it's outclassed by so many better exotics. Enhances your radar resolution while crouched. Intrinsic Perk: Upgraded Sensor Pack - Provides radar while you're aiming. We also have a guide on all classes, subclasses and aspects in Destiny 2 so you can see each class and its abilities. MacOS Catalina brought big changes to the Mac, including the ability to run iPad apps natively, opening the platform up to a much larger number of developers than ever before.About the Incredible ( and almost complete) Collections of Apple Wallpapers Users could even have macOS slowly fade between the two background images over the course of the day. No more mountains! Mojave brought a new system-wide Dark Mode, and the OS shipped with two versions of its default wallpaper to match. Named after a breathtaking spot in Yosemite National Park, El Capitan was a clean-up year after 10.10. The wallpaper ushered in a new era based on … well … mountains. Yosemite brought another UI refresh to the Mac, making things flatter and more modern. The wave depicted looks as intimidating as the ones in the famous surfing location. Mavericks marked the beginning of Apple’s “California location” naming scheme for Mac releases. Just like Snow Leopard before it, with Mountain Lion, Apple opted to clean up and revise the existing theme as opposed to changing directions for what would be a less-impactful release of OS X. The space nerd in me likes the idea, but the execution of this one leaves dead-last on my list of favorites. Lion kept up the space theme, this time showing off the Andromeda galaxy. This starscape is still one of my favorites. The “no new features” mantra for Snow Leopard didn’t ban a new wallpaper, thankfully. The server version of Leopard server came with its own unique wallpaper that is a real treat: It ushered in the “space era” of OS X wallpapers, which was used heavily in the new Time Machine interface as well. As such, Leopard was the first version of OS X to break from the Aqua-themed wallpaper. While that may or may not be true, it is my favorite Aqua-inspired wallpaper.Ĭomplete with a revised, unified user interface and shiny new Dock, 10.5 broke the Aqua mold. Many consider Tiger to be the best “classic” version of Mac OS X. While Panther inflicted Macs everywhere with Brushed Metal, its wallpaper stayed on brand, refreshing the original 10.0 image. In my head, the trails streaking across the screen were from a set of comets. Jaguar took the same Aqua-inspired theme but added some depth and motion to things. The sweeping blue arcs and curves helped set the tone of the new Aqua interface. The first two releases of Mac OS X shared the same wallpaper. As you can see, I have collected them all here. Every major version of Mac OS X macOS has come with a new default wallpaper. I hope I included all the necessary information. I have tried setting the properties of the video capture device to custom (it defaults to 60 fps anyway) but it didn't alter the preview nor the local recordings or stream. I'm not sure if the attached log files are the correct ones so I included the earlier timestamp one from the stream today and the latest one, I did some local recordings so they might be from that, but either way the same issue persists during a stream or during a local recording. I'm not sure if the Avermedia Stream engine, OBS, or the capture card are the problem. It continued to have this issue even after OBS closed. Additionally, when i opened OBS, RE Central was no longer able to capture my PS4 and instead tried to display a glitchy fragment of my monitor. When recording from OBS, the video file said 60 FPS but was clearly running at 30. When using the RE Central capturing software that comes with the avermedia, I was able to capture a video of the game running at 60 fps. The game im playing is running 60 fps but the preview in obs and therefore the stream (or a local recording) are seeing it at 30 fps. I have my PS4 hooked up to my primary monitor and have OBS up on a 2nd monitor. I am streaming at a bitrate of 3500 with canvas and output resolution set to 720p on OBS Studio 64 bit v 24.0.3 I'm using NVENC encoding and my PC specs are: The G元10 can at least capture 60 FPS at 720p which is what my settings are at in OBS. I'm having an issue where OBS preview is showing my video capture device (Avermedia lite gl310 capturing a regular PS4) running at 30 FPS or a framerate lower than 60 fps when it should be capturing at 60 fps. Teachers often comment about how they want to learn more about 3D printing, but the conversation ends there and they go on with their day, reluctant to take the first step because it will be too steep of a learning curve. Teachers assume it is very costly, really hard to set up and doesn’t really have a place in their class because they don’t do STEM. Afraid and weary, they hesitate to buy into this remarkable technology. Unfortunately, there are a lot of misconceptions about 3D printing that leave most teachers looking in from the outside. It feels magical to inspire and empower students and watch them grow their skill set as they innovate and create throughout the year. They say things like, “That’s SOOOO cool!” Others immediately start to ask questions, “How does it work? How much did it cost? How can I print something?” Within a few days, they are making their first 3D CAD models and submitting an STL to print. We’re always listening to feedback on how we can make SketchUp for Schools excel in your classroom environment.Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure of watching students look in amazement at 3D printing technology as they enter my class each fall. Don’t forget to let us know what you think in our forums. Open the app and explore all of the great new features. Students can easily find and keep track of what they’ve been working on, which means a classroom time saver!Ĭurriculum videos now launch directly in the modeling window of SketchUp for Schools! You and your students can now follow along and model without having to continually shift back and forth between tabs. You’ll notice the opening page of SketchUp for Schools has gotten a facelift and now shows a list of recent files. Now, students can quickly locate a break in geometry that is not visible from the exterior of the model. Tired of not knowing why your model isn’t a solid? We’ve made some updates to include display controls that allow you to turn on X-ray mode to see through your component, as well as show hidden geometry. So translation confusion eliminated - phew! We worked with 3D modeling experts across the globe to make sure our translated modeling concepts were up to par. Not only does it help uncover the tool that you’re searching for, but it also displays other relevant tools that may be of use in your classroom. You can now use the Search tool in your native tongue (12 languages total!). How can it get even better, you ask? We added educator resources to help teachers customize this curriculum for their classrooms. You’ll notice this new curriculum isn’t just targeted towards traditional 3D modeling classes. This year, we worked with teachers across the country to develop content for a wide range of classrooms. With a new school year, comes new curriculum. Now let’s jump into class and see what’s new. No matter where you are, or what you teach, make SketchUp work for your classroom. With curriculum-inspired lesson plans, educator resources, and localized search, you can personalize your own SketchUp learning experience. This year we are focusing on how we can help support the different learning needs of your class. Last year our main focus was expanding from G Suite for Education to Microsoft Education. It’s time for back to school prep! Whether you’re teaching remotely this year, or you’re in the classroom, a new school year means exciting new features in SketchUp for Schools. |
